Despite what seemed like red flags popping up during the Marchand contract talks, the two sides have finally reached an agreement. Marchand signed a 2 year contract, worth 2.5 million per year. This bit of news finally puts to bed the last of the big question marks of the off-season. With training camp opening shortly, the Bruins should be in great shape to compete again, and Marchand will be a big part of it.

Hi Guys, hope your championship summer went well. i know it did for me as I torchured many people, matter of fact 39 years worth.
I think a repeat is posible as well and the Bruins are looking in good shape. It going to be another great year.
The great thing is Chicago basically had a fire sale after the cup (Ladd, Byguflien, whoever there goalie was, etc…) and we possibly improved. Debatable but Corvo replaces Kaberle, the rookies and Poulit will compete to replace Ryder. Only leaves Recchi’s veteran presence but still have 9 mill in cap space to work with. That being said that space will be left for the resigning of Krejci, Rask, Seguin, etc… unless we get a trade deadline guy on his last contract year.
Like they say … pay back is a bitch boys. It all starts tomorrow with the first of 8 straight beat downs by the Habs over the B’s this season. im pretty sure last year alot of predictors had tha bruins missing the playoffs, or just making it. I live in canada and its like everybody is just trying to forget that the bruins won the cup. alot of people r under the impression that one player makes u a winner, the sooner they realize its an all around team effort the better off they will b. i think the bruins have the best team in the league, and as long as everybody stays healthy, they will very hard to dethrone.
Bruins never get rated highly by anyone it seems. We’ll finish 2nd or 3rd in the conference. Caps are a lock to run away with the East (and then bomb in the Playoffs) and we’ll probably be fighting with one of NYR, PHI or PIT for second. We should walk away with our division again, although Sabres have an outside shot. Really, we’re looking at 2nd or 3rd with an outside shot of dropping as low as 5th or 6th. But it’s the Playoffs that matter and no one’s better suited for them than us.
Leafs suck. They’ll finish 9th just so they get a bad pick.

Pouliot looked pretty good actually but I don’t know how consistent he’ll be. I say make a strong push for Ray Whitney. He’s a wizard with the puck and a fantastic playmaker. He’s also a lock to get you at least 55 points.
