With the recent switch of the dial, WBZ-FM is starting to shape out its roster. As it stands now Toucher and Rich will be the morning program. Gary Tanguay and Scott Zolak are expected to team up for the 10-2 shift. Michael Felger and Tony Massarotti will be the duo going opposite the Big Show (2-6). The Bruins will also receive a half hour time slot for both a pregame and a postgame program for all games. Those programs are expected to be hosted by Dave Goucher, who has provided color analysis for the Bruins since 2000, and former Bruins defenseman Bob Beers. For the fans in Boston, it will be exciting to have a sports radio network which owns the rights to broadcast every Bruins game. Sports radio will now be more dedicated to the Bruins while giving us frequent guests and co-hosts on all programs to discuss Bruins related material. Michael Felger, a huge Bruins fan since the 70’s, will provide plenty of Bruins talk during the most popular time frame. Toucher and Rich are also avid fans, although they lost out on their weekly guest when Aaron Ward was traded back to Carolina. Although Tanguay and Zolak do not have much of a hockey background, expect to have frequent call-in guests and players appearing on their show.
UPDATE: According to the Miami Herald, Damon Amendolara will host an evening show for WBZ-FM. Amdendolara was the evening host for WQAM, radio home of the Miami Dolphins and Florida Panthers.
