Bruins Win a Thriller Against the Isles

Bruins-4 SO

Sim (1) from Schremp (1) and Okposo (2)
Martinek (1) from Streit (2) and Tavares (3)
Tavares (2) from Meyer (2)
Savard (2) from Chara (2) and Lucic (2)
Bitz (1) from Begin (4) and Hunwick (1)
Hunwick (2) from Wheeler (1) and Ference (1)

Three Stars:

1. Marc Savard
2. John Tavares
3. Matt Hunwick

Well not exactly what we wanted to see, but to come back in the third which was an issue last year is nice, especially when you’re down 3 goals with less than 10 minutes to go.  Tuukka Rask played very good and made some great positional saves and a key stop in the shootout.  Both the Martinek and Tavares goals were unstoppable shots.  What a goal by Byron Bitz, who needs Phil Kessel?  One of the prettiest goals I’ve seen in a long time by an individual play.  The Bruins need to play a full 60 minutes if they expect to remain atop the Eastern Conference.

even though bitz has only a few goals, wouldnt you agree hes got some nice hands? that was a really awesome play, to keep possession like he did and make it look like nothing special, i think if lucic doesnt seem to grow into a consistent 20+ goal scorer, pair lucic with Bitz, they play similar but both can score, i think it would be a great pairing yes?

gotta love that 4th line right now.

however this was one of the worst games ive ever seen the bruins play. 50 minutes of absolute garbage…and then they came on. sucks about wideman too. rask played great though.
