Wideman to miss road trip

Dennis Wideman will miss the weekend’s road trip against the Dallas Stars and Phoenix Coyotes.  Wideman injured his left shoulder Saturday against the New York Islanders. He is considered day-to-day and his injury is not expected to keep him out after this weekend. Johnny Boychuk will suit up for his second straight game.

trade ference, bring up mcquaid and sobotka.

mcquaid, boychuk, and hunwick compete for 5/6 spots, one guy is mobile, one is big and physical, one is kind of a hybrid.

frees some space to bring up sobtoka, who can play on the third or fourth line, and push all players to play harder, so there spot is “not set in stone” every night.

not a bad idea psands, but id start with bringing marchand up first. sobotka would inject some energy into the lineup, but marchand would bring even more energy to the table, which is exactly what the bruins need right now.

hendrick.com reports the bruins are trying to trade ference. apparently his role in the firing of paul kelly has created a rift in the dressing room so PC is trying to deal him.

i really hope that is whats going to happen bruinsfanupnorth, even though ference has his issues, i believe some team will take a chance on him that needs some defensive help (rangers). ference is not a bad guy, but they need to move him if it is messing up this teams great chemistry.
