New line possibilities

With the trade of Chuck Kobasew, the injury to Milan Lucic, and three players getting recalled from Providence the Bruins lines will now have a different look to them. According to Matt Kalman, Vladimir Sobotka was skating on a line with Krejci and Wheeler while Brad Marchand was on a line with Patrice Bergeron and Michael Ryder.  With Marc Savard, Shawn Thornton, and Guillame Lefebvre all absent from today’s skate Marco Sturm, Mark Recchi, Steve Begin, and Byron Bitz all skated together. If the lines stay the same from practice here is what the lineup would look like:

Sturm-Savard-Recchi

Sobotka-Krejci-Wheeler

Marchand-Bergeron-Ryder

However, I would not be surprised if those were experimental lines just for today’s practice.  Here is a lineup that is more likely for Wednesday’s game:

Sturm-Savard-Ryder

Sobotka-Krejci-Wheeler

Recchi-Bergeron-Marchand

For the second time in a few weeks a “Kovalchuk to Boston? – Ilya may be off to the East Coast” post on ESPN.com. If there is any legitimacy behind this I don’t think any of us will be complaining.

i would not mind recchi going so the third line could look like sobotka-bergeron-marchand. but the only way that happens is if recchi retires.

the lucic injury hurts, and i hope he is 100% when he gets back, so he can do everything he is used to, like drop the gloves
