Bergeron injured, leaves in 2nd

Patrice Bergeron took a shot by Dennis Wideman off what appeared to be the right wrist.  Bergeron went in for X-rays but no updates yet. In Bergeron’s absence, Begin moved back to center the third line with the offensively gifted Shawn Thornton and Byron Bitz rotating in on Savard’s wing.

This game is fucking boring. For the love f god lucic come back! These games without you are as exciting as a fucking tennis match

  2. Birdman2403 says:

If Bergy is out the B’s are doomed ! They are like watching a truck stuck in the mud right now ! Savard skating around doing NOTHING ! Wideman….nice effort on the second goal ! PUT THIS FUCKER ON WAIVERS…BRUTAL ! CHARA also BAD tonight.

They have to make a shake-up via trade so start scratching guys. Ryder, Wideman and Wheeler would help this team more by eating popcorn high above ice level ! Put Satan in tomorrow, can’t be worse then these guys. Lucic….for the love of God please come back !

  3. Kurt says:

Just shows you that this team over achieved last year. Unfortunately the only one that picked up where he left off is Kessel. I wasn’t a big fan of his game though we could use his one trick pony curl and drag because it seems to work.

  4. Kurt says:

Hey was that Bitz that just scored? No it was the guy they sat during the playoffs instead of Bitz.

  5. Birdman2403 says:

HAHAHA….go figure ! I’m still sticking to my comment. But thanks Wheeler !

Really when do you say enough is enough. I just cant watch anymore, its just ugly.

  7. psands says:

so bad, just not good at all, but i guess asking for two come backs in a row is too much, but the last goal was just so bad.

at least the second line picked it up a little, and hunwick got involved which was great, but the ending really hurts.

btw, when is chara going to make a statement as the captain, and go fight some huge enforcer to get the team going, i have been waiting for him to do it.

I think Chara has been playing injured for awhile, something to do with his hand. Look at his glove he’s got fingers taped together.

  9. Bruins says:

im never going to watcha bruins/rangers game again. no matter who wins, it always ends up being a brutal game. bruins didnt show up for the first 55 or so minutes, until wheeler got things going. rask was solid again, but what the hell was up with that last goal??? he shouldve had that second one too.

savard just isnt himself right now. hopefully satan can get him going, but thats alot to ask out of a supposedly washed up 35 year old. bergeron is really the only bruin performing like he should (well chara too, although not offensively). any injury to him could be devastating. sturm was starting to hit his stride but was invisible tonight.

  10. ELWOPPO says:

Who wants to bet me that Bergeron has a broken wrist! For FUCK SAKES! Always the star players huh!

    • Whopperfoo says:

I do, you can see him shaking his hand on the way to the bench. You don’t shake your hand with a broken wrist.

  11. Pearson says:

I was there and i would disagree 100% that sturm was invisible.

The only reason this team is in the playoff picture right now is because the players are good, however omve they start to play like a team, sticking up for each other, and knocking opponents teeth in they arent goin anywhere. When the clock hits 2 mins the adrenaline gets goin and they score. Chara has been a solid dman but unfortunatley not a leader.

Id like to see them scratch the 2nd line, and chara, call up the pbruins and give them a wake up.

I was embarrased to be wearing black and gold tonight at msg. Just pathetic.

Bergeron will return home Tuesday and won’t make the trip to Ottawa for the game.

  13. willisss says:

i missed the game, first one all day. i was busy with my own hockey game in which we got our asses spanked.

all i hear is that rask blew a goal? miss stick handle? who knows. i didnt see it so i cant say anything about the game.

  14. Andy says:

Have to agree with most – last night was the first game I watched over the last 10 years where I fell asleep during the second period. There is no desire from any players. Friggen Wideman – I did not see the ghost trip him last night but if I see him once more with the Invisible limp I will loose it. First time he gets his shot on net this year he nails Bergeron. Hate to say it but this team is not going anywhere this year if changes are not made – I dont think even with lucic coming back soon will make a huge differance. Christ – we have the players and the picks to make a change – get it done before all the faithfull loose interest in this team.

  15. Birdman2403 says:

Eklund has Bergeron already replaced by Jeff Carter on Olympic team ! How can he possibly know that already…..IDIOT !

    • mook says:

don’t visit hockeybuzz…that scammer makes money on hits. read spector’s hockey (there’s a link on the main page of this blog). it’s reliable…and he bashes eklund.
