    OMFG NO!! Somebody save US!!!

Maybe we can use wideman to plug the hole in TT Five hole this year and not lose 2-1.

Just kidding. I hope TT comes out beg hes gotta be chomping at the bit to re-prove himself! We cant let Toronto win, id hate to see kessel score so lets get a big night outta Siedenberg and Chara. Id also like them to put Bergeron-Sturm on Savards wings tonight maybe Julien show some competency in forming lines.

    Berg-Savard-Sturm
    Paille-Kerjc-Wheeler
    Looch-Thronton-Recchi
    Begin

Sounds like it would work better to me.

    • Pearson says:

You rollin with 3 lines? Against toronto? Why not? Could put alot of pressure on giggy and phanuef.

      I like this.

And frankly i think thomas needs to play. Its has sorta felt akward with him riding the pine pony for 2 weeks. And he usually does very well against the leafs

      • Bruins says:

i always remembered tuuk having the leafs number and timmy having the habs and sens number. oh well it is only the leafs

    • ELWOPPO says:

Just FYI Bergeron is still hurt and will sit 2nites game! And if we cant beat the Laughs 2nite than we might as well pack in the season!
Thier whole team has been traded!!!

    • zvic says:

I say call up Hamill, give him a go what do we have to lose?

  2. Bruins says:

ugh and people never think injuries are an excuse…

we have to go with a guy that’s played 10 minutes of hockey in over the last month.

this is a huge game. not only is it big for us, but a win would put the leafs even further back. we have to capitalize on this

  3. Bruins4life 13 says:

The main thing is the 2 points. i would feel better with rask in but i think thomas should at least try to win his starting job back. i also hope seidenberg scores a goal and has a good game

    Good luck Boys!!!

  4. bdolo says:

Save by Thomas!!! Let’s go tonight boys! The leafs got a whole lotta losing to do for the sake of that pick! Go B’s

  5. mook says:

    bruins 8 leafs 0

    • Bruins says:

at least. seidenberg to tie joe malone’s goal record of 7. i don’t think he’ll break it quite yet.

  6. BACKBRUIN says:

John Bishop: B’s GM Peter Chiarelli got some backing from an unlikely source — Don Cherry.

“Well everybody says, ‘Get a big scoring winger.’ Well, tell me there was a winger out there to get,” said Cherry to the press pregame. “There wasn’t one available. Kovalchuk was the only one and he was gone.

“So he did the best he could, but it would have been nice. I keep hearing guys on television and radio and everything, ‘Why didn’t he get a big scoring winger?’

“There’s none. If anybody’s got any big scoring winger, they’re not going to give him up. So this guys leads the league in blocked shots so he’s got something going for him,” he said.

Cherry said Seidenberg should help the Bruins.

“Well, it looked like almost a trade for a trade. But if you lead the league in something, you got something going, and he leads the league in blocked shots,” said Cherry. “And if you look at a lot of games, boy, when it gets into the playoffs, and those [good teams] can block shots. So I think he did better.”

And of his Bruins, Cherry was blunt in his personal assessment.

“I don’t think anybody’s had a good year,” said Cherry. “I think Sturm’s the only one that’s playing up to his abilities.

“It looks like last year everybody had a career year. This year, nobody’s playing well as far as I’m concerned. Rask, maybe, and Sturm. That hurts to say that, believe me. But he’s the only one, everybody else seems to be in second gear.”

  7. BACKBRUIN says:

i tend to agree although my frustration is their too. I keep thinking, who out there was really going to get us to a cup, or deep in the playoffs for that matter…Whitney..nooooo..mueller..nooooo…wolski…nooooooooooooo

when you think about it, the prices from what I’m hearing were jacked up!!! what would we have really gained getting one of those players…..i think it’s time they build up two lines with our top scorers and try running 3 lines with a touch of the fourth once a period!!

Listen we are all frustrated and i think if we step back and take a breath after that game on Tuesday we should know any of those aforementioned players won’t cut it!!!

how about getting looch going!!!what about that….what about putting some offense on savy’s line!!!how about responsibility in our own end….what about crisp passes instead of fancy boy passing….or hey what about shooting the puck more!!!

believe me getting wojtek wolski isn’t going to miraculously change all of that!!!we all wanted them to look like they want to win by making a deal…i just think their wasn’t enough out there to warrant P.C selling are great picks for nothing!!!!

good on you p.c if we can’t get out of this on our own then maybe Taylor hall can help us next year!!!

    • Bruins says:

agreed on all that but it’s sad to say that i don’t think we’ll be seeing the old lucic again this year. we’ll have to wait until next season. the high ankle sprain injury just makes it too tough to get up to speed.

  8. BostonVin says:

Who cares about the game. Look at Don Cherry!!! Can’t knock him, this guy is awesome.

  9. Bruins says:

almost forgot about the whole kessel thing. he had a tough enough time against just chara, but seidenberg should do a number on him as well tonight. another pointless, invisible night for “the thrill”.

  10. G cole says:

I’m tired of this Milan lucic sucking at fighting, not providing offense and rarely hitting…

    • pearson says:

i thought he totally brought the thunder tonight. he missed on 2 goals by inches, and was throwing his weight around alot. the fight wasnt what we were used to but it says alot that he dropped them against orr… one of the toughest guys in the league

  11. backbruin says:

wow Lucic i appreciate you trying to get it going but not by getting beat up on home ice. I know he’s been injured and that plays a factor but suck it up buttercup…you play a physical style…last year everyone was afraid to touch the puck or fight him and this year they need a doorman to hold back the line….

what is wrong with this guy. does anyone have any inside info!!!is he at 60% or something!

    • Bruins says:

it’s the high ankle sprain. that’s the toughest injury to get back up to speed after. that wouldnt affect his fighting though. my guess is his confidence is down becasue of the injury.

BS call on sturm leads to the goal…but what the fuck was wideman doing on that play? he had support from the other d-man. and could ryder have made that kick any more obvious? lol. oh well, here’s hoping for a thornton gordie how hattrick

  12. G cole says:

Don cherry is SO RIGHT about the bruins!

    • backbruin says:

what did he say im not getting nesn tonight…im getting TSN!!!

what is the jist of his comments?

      • G cole says:

Said if the bruins aren’t going to score and win games to atleast hit and fight! And he called out lucic for getting beat on, and other things, it was perfect, things real fans see and analysts on nesn can’t say

  13. backbruin says:

i agree the play by play guy said he did the right thing but it was 2 on 2 and he needed to push him outside!!!there was no trailer on the play??

still thomas?? come on dude you have a chance to try and steal back some starts and you let a short side goal that went through you!!!

I honestly see no heart and in my world the glass is usually half full but it’s beginning to be half empty and i see no glimpse of anything!!

i think that olympic break has really hurt us!!!that was starting to get to the old b’s game!!!

i just don’t know guys, i think were in real trouble and i hate to say it!

    • Bruins says:

yeah they look pretty awful tonight.

timmy had decent positioning on that goal too, and somehow let it through, but wideman’s head was up his ass on that. you cant just let him walk his way into the net.

kudos to lucic for taking on a heavyweight though. he held his own for a bit there. that’s the oly heart ive seen tonight so far

  14. #4 says:

Havent seen the game yet clas goes to 7:10 I get home at 8:20 but from your comments it sounds like its worse than 1-1 game here.

Did lucic get beat up? Maybe its what he needs a few good asskickings to wake him up, Cofee aint working. + ORR always was a tough matchup for loo

I called the TT Goal on the first post I made I he can stop a 2-0 of Semin-Ovechkin but if some no-name slides the puck 5hole WATCH OUT EVERYBODY. I hate his inconsistency this year. Pucker up in the 2nd Boys #4 Going to be watching you mother fuckers

  15. Bruins says:

bullshit reffing tonight. hunwick phantom call, gets out of the box, blatantly hauled down…no call. one of our guys just smoked from behind too.

  16. backbruin says:

WIDEMENNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNN…HOW IS HE THIS BAD!!!!!!WHAT GOES THROUGH HIS BRAIN…HE DOES THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF WHAT HE SHOULD DO AT THE WORST POSSIBLE TIME!!!

    TIMMY BAILED HIM OUT!!!

    I REALLY DISLIKE WIDEMEN!!!

  17. Bruins says:

man, i am really not a wheeler fan. zero hockey IQ. that’s right zero. i love the size, speed and effort he brings but he has hands of stone and o hockey sense

    • Bruins says:

      fuckin love boychuk tho!

    • da wreck says:

Zero. That’s a pretty big word. I think he’s got great hands, but just can’t finish. He’s still a second year player, remember? I think he’s going to make you eat those words in the next season or two.

On another hand, Matt Hunwick. Great speed, gotta love his heart, but he really is not big enough to play a defensive game as a defenseman in the NHL. I really think he’d be an exceptional 3rd liner with his speed and creativity. He just loses too many battles on the boards in his own end.

  18. G cole says:

Well let’s see if these bums learned their lessons from last games third period…

  19. Bruins says:

BEGIN taking on orr???? what a beast!

  20. G cole says:

    SAVARD!!!!!!!! Jesus christ man

  21. Bruins says:

whenever timmy is in net the team simply doesnt play. its fucking ridiculous

  22. G cole says:

    Nice move krejci

  23. G cole says:

Holy shit Satan that was sweeeeet

  24. Bruins says:

all i can say is thank god we were playing hte leafs. and thank god for timmy. dirty move by satan too

  25. backbruin says:

WELL WELL WELL, Satan with a move that i haven’t seen from this team….why he’s not top 3 in every shootout is beyond me!!!

still not happy but Timmy comes up big in reg and the shootout!!!good job Timmy!!good emotion bro…that’s what we need from the rest of the slouches!!!

    Widemen should be sent down!!!

not satisfied but we’ll take the win!!!shape up boys or ship out!!!

    savard man………………….

  26. Bruins says:

i read on a hockey board that when interviewed about signing with the bruins tonight satan said something like “i had to pick a team to get ready for the olympics”

i’ll let it go tonight with a goal and a SO winner, but thats not the kind of guy to have on your team

  27. da wreck says:

Leave it up to some of you “fans” to find something to complain about even when the B’s win. I know it wasn’t an ideal win, but 2 points is 2 points. You’re the kind of people who bitch just for the sake of bitching about something. The kinds of people who talk just to hear the sound of your own voice. Hell. You’re the same fans who were finding something to complain about last year when the Bruins were winning 2 out of 3 games.

I’ll take the 2 points, and stay in the playoff hunt. Go take your crying towels and whine in a corner somewhere.

    • backbruin says:

what are you talking about man………………?

      • #4 says:

yeah they were a trainwreck tonight. IT was the 2nd worst team in the league and a great Thomas performance and satans nice move saved it for the b’s. Not really a game they deserved to win.

  28. Birdman2403 says:

Timmy was awesome ! Owned Kessel that bitch !

I know it has become a joke now…but Wideman….all I can do is laugh ! Massive road trip coming up….play-offs will be decided !

  29. ELWOPPO says:

HUUUUUUUGE 2 points!!! Timmy was a monster! They gotta step up thier game if they wanna make post seasen though!! BTW Carolina 8 points ahead of the Laughs and Columbus 11….Something to think about!!!
Who would you guys take in the draft? I heard this Seguin kid is chalanging Hall for the first overall pick…He’s sopposed to be a sick centerman! Any Thoughts!

    • Bruins says:

actually canes are 9 points up now lol.

at this point i’m actually indifferent to who the bruins should take between hall and seguin. they’re both stars. hall is the physical talent, seguin is the hockey smarts talent. either way we’re set

      • pearson says:

dont we really already have the hockey smarts up the gut? hall is physical and can score… sounds like my kind of pick

      • Bruins says:

seguin actually has more goals than him on a team with less talent. seriously, it’s a coin flip this year

      • pearson says:

and hes wearing a whalers jersey. i like him already. i think the b’s dont have a hard decision cuz theyll just take the one that edmonton doesnt.

      • Bruins says:

we could still win the lottery though.

  30. Bruins says:

thoughts on seidenberg? i thought he looked great. one bonehead penalty early shooting it over the glass, but he settled down.

i loved how he pinched. he seems to have a knack for knowing when to do it and he does it often

    • pearson says:

hard to tell after one game but i did notice he does his job and made some good passes. once he gets used to his teammates he might be alot more noticeable.

    • #4 says:

He looked he is stronger/faster than morris with what appears similar skills, maybe better defensively.

I did notice him run into chara few times but overall good performance.

  31. mook says:

i wonder if people on detroit red wing blogs are freaking-out as much as we are…

  32. mook says:

marchand recalled. hopefully this means thornton sits.

this will never happen, but i say once healthy:
    sturm – savard – satan
    wheels – krejci – ryder
    hunwick – bergeron – recchi
begin – marchand – lucic (yes, two centres…this line would be the biggest shit-disturbers in the league)

    chara – seidenberg
    wideman – stuart
    boychuck – ference (or mcquiad)
