Krejci done for playoffs

David Krejci suffered a dislocated right wrist in the first period of last night’s victory. Krejci will miss the remainder of the playoffs.

This is a huge blow for the Bruins, who now lose one of their top overall players.  In Krejci’s absence Marc Savard, who only has 3 games under his belt since his concussion, and Vladimir Sobotka will be expected to pick up the offensive slack.

yep, some more brutal luck for the bruins…..i really liked the hit though, clean, lined him up, thats just how the cookie crumbles huh? oh well if it was meant to be theyll keep up this monstrous play and tuukka will carry us hopefully, GO BRUINS!!!

  2. Mook says:

    c’mon now, let’s see who has a hard-on for hamill…

(it’s going to be marchand and/or whitfield)

  3. Jefe77 says:

I guess the Flyers and their fans can chalk up the hit that took out Krejci, as the same play that took out the Flyers.

Way to give up the puck Richards you fuck. Thanks for the series.

  4. Gcole says:

If satan didnt score after that hit the game would have probably changed completely. they better fucking sign satan in the offseason, i mean what more can he do? hes been great.

  5. Gcole says:

WOW anyone see that pic on nesn with a flyers fan holding a giant poster saying “TASER RASK”!! how fucking low can you get?! i mean come on! thats worse than montreal, and i never thought anyone could be worse than them! i just fucking hope those shitstain flyers dont start cheapshotting everyone they can next game.

    • bbears24 says:

philly fans are totally oblivious to everything else around them…there was a philly fan who said tuukka isn’t THAT good and then starting comparing stats with him and boucher…and he kept stressing that boucher has the better save %, but he couldn’t comprehend that the bruins have outshot the flyers by far.

    • pearson says:

LOL. i missed that sign, but thats pretty good.

tasering rask might give them SOME hope….

  6. B's_fan_from_Scarb says:

Ummm lets see? Bergeron’s been injured, Lucic twice, Savard 3 times, Chara’s playing injured(dislocated finger) Boychuk with broken cheekbone, Stuart, Siedenberg, Ference, NOW STURM AND KREJCI done for the playoffs!!! ANY FUCKING MORE INJURIES!!!!! COME ON SURLY THE HOCKEY GODS HAVE MORE IN STORE FOR US??? THIS IS FUCKED RIGHT UP! UNREAL, Can someone out thier explain to me what the Bruins did to deserve this massacre of injuries?????? I cant believe this mother fucking shit, im sick of this…When does it all end?????

    • #4 says:

When Chara holds the cup about 10ft high in the air.

    • pearson says:

no excuses. cant win with em.

if anything the injuries will make EVERYONE play harder then they ever have, and thats the only way a team from the east beats anyone from the west.

  7. Bruins says:

we are the luckiest team in the world…

  8. Bruins says:

ugh so what are we going with now:

    paille-bergeron-recchi
    lucic-savard-satan
    wheeler-sobotka-ryder
    thornton-begin-marchand

  9. bruins4eva says:

wanna talk about funny…i was at the game last night i got club box seats for 75 bucks…two flyers fans were fighting in the club box seats and i had flyers fans buying me food and beer for the whole night and i didnt even know them…

    • Jefe77 says:

Either you were in some sort of parallel universe, or they were doppledangers

    • Jefe77 says:

I was there the game Alberts was injured, where the Bruins won 6-3 i think it was. I almost suffered a concussion from the velocity on the peanuts whipped across my head.

  10. Gcole says:

You know how Toronto is somehow the most loved or biggest fanbase team or whatever it is? Well I made up a joke… You know why they do video goal reviews in Toronto? Because they need something exciting to think about come
playoff time because Toronto never is in the playoffs

  11. mita says:

FOR FUCK SAKES MAN!!! who is gunna get injured for the bruins!!!!we lost sturm now krejci, like come on!!!since krejci’s out i hope they bring brad marchand up from the minors!!!!LETS GO BRUINS LETS GO!!!!!

  12. mita says:

who do use want the beez to bring up?

  13. Gcole says:

How the fuck can Montreal keep winning?

  14. Jefe77 says:

Pitt is not as good as they think, neither was Washington.

    • mook says:

weak-ass divisions. look at the northeast…how many teams from our division missed the playoffs? just the leafs. that says something…and it’s not “they all suck”.

  15. mook says:

montreal vs boston in the conference final will be epic.

  16. JONOVISION says:

Krej is out, briliant now what? Sturm gone too fuk sakes what holes to fill.that fag Ryder better start earnin that loot.i bet double for straits lol thought it was a joke.Savy will have a moster game. Bos3 phi2

  17. jimmy50 says:

Lets break out the brooms b/c we need a weeks rest and come back healthy. Getting Stuart back, letting Satan and Recchi rest, and allowing Savard to condition more would be huge.

  18. mook says:

everyone shits on sturm and NOW you’re complaining he’s gone?

i think you guys just like complaining…

    • TheBellEnd says:

couldn’t agree more, mook….they’re all hypocrites

    • pearson says:

i shit on sturm. and im not complaining. guy wasnt producing. i was in favor of benching him for the first couple games and letting him get hungrier. now, we get our enforcer back = good thing.

      • Mook says:

i’m with you…fuck him anyways. he was invisible these playoffs.

personally i’d like to see marchand mix it up…

    • WARDOFTHERINGS says:

i still think sturm sucks but i kreji is a huge loss. no big lose on sturm.

    • Andy says:

I personally said before Krecji got hurt and Sturm was out that not only was he invisible, but no one missed him last year when he was out, either.

He’s not a BAD player, just completely streaky and not worth the 3.5 mil OR especially the NTC…

But when you’re listing off the # of injuries we’ve had this year, obviously, you have to include him..

  19. bbears24 says:

what’s the deal with stuart is this gonna be a gametime decision???

  20. pearson says:

krejci hurts, but as long as we have tuukka… WE MEAN BUSINESS.

plus, i cant wait to see sobotka finally step up for real, and own shit. the kid is awesome.

  21. Mook says:

i’m calling for a finals appearance by the bruins.

if the pens are having this much trouble against a team with a hot goalie, imagine them playing a team with an even hotter goalie (tuukka over halak), much better defense (chara over gill) and some newly-found scoring (from satan, looch, savard).

check mate, bitches. see you in hell, chicago!

    • #4 says:

id be drooling over Boston-Chicago cup mmmmmm.

      • Pearson says:

Idk man. Chitown is loaded. I tgink san jose is the most beatable team

      • Bruins says:

Chicago might be one of the best-built teams I’ve ever seen outside of the goaltending position, which is obviously huge.

Personally I’d want Vancouver the most out of the Western teams. Fairly weak defence and average goaltending (of what is left in the playoffs). They have a stacked offense but we match up well against more offensive teams.

  22. Richardo says:

Whats up with Thornton not being at the morning skate??? Anybody hear anything???

  23. Loooch says:

    GOOD NEWS BOYS:

Mark Stuart, cleared medically to play tonight, will be a game-time decision. But it’s just about guaranteed that Stuart will play in place of Adam McQuaid (leg injury). Stuart will skate on the third pairing, with Andrew Ference switching to the right side.

Stuart will remove the IV port from his left arm tonight during the game. Stuart will put it back in after the game. Stuart must remain on the medication until May 25. Stuart said the medication is so potent that he has to insert the IV port into different veins.

“The medication is pretty toxic stuff,” Stuart said. “So you’ve got to keep switching veins.”

  24. Bruins4life13 says:

“miro the hero” has been the story of these playoffs without him we dont make it past buffalo
but now i think we are a cup contender

  25. Mook says:

    i say we tank it.

  26. ELWOPPO says:

gagne game time decision! Isnt it funny how other teams star players come back, but ours are done for the season! What bad fucken luck we got for injuries!

    • backbruin says:

Gagne is far from being their best player, in fact i think his career has been so scarred with injuries that he’s half the player he had the potential to be!

  27. Andy says:

Gentlemen – here we are at the doorstep. Yes, it sucks with the injuries, but you know what? The ’01 Pats didn’t have the stars – they had the HEART!

Sobotka’s gotta get back to being the energy guy that he was in BUF, especially w/ Lucic & Satan. I think Wheeler and Ryder are the ones being counted on to step up offensively. If we can come out with the same type of gameplan tonight – play sound defensive hockey, cash in on offensive opportunities, and pull this game out, I think it would be some much needed rest for this club!

    • Jefe77 says:

Sobotka has still been playing well, but he was injured in game 1 against the Flyers when he collided with the net. He cant hit like he was against Buffalo,….playoffs are a bitch but he still has been great.

  28. Pearson says:

I think we’re lucky to get outta the first tied… D has got to step up and create mkre for the olines to work with

  29. d-dawg says:

Why the fuck can’t we finish-off the last minutes of periods without letting goals in?

  30. da wreck says:

Hopefully Daniel Carcillo is done for the game… It’ll keep Looch outta the box. I can see him taking a stupid penalty because Carcillo’s a douche.

  31. Gcole says:

WOW SO ASHAM CAN PUNCH WIDEMAN IN THE FACE AND NO FUCKING PENALTY WHEN HARTNELL WAS ACTING LIKE A PROFESSIONAL?!?!

  32. Gcole says:

Now that’s how you score a goal with the goalie pulled!! Finish these flyer pussies off and that crowd will be booing again, and this time not for boucher!

  33. backbruin says:

O….M….G….GUTS!!!!WRECKING BALL IN FULL AFFECT…HEY BOYS NO MATTER HOW THIS TURNS OUT WE CAN’T BE ANGRY..THESE BOYS BATTLED!!!

  34. Gcole says:

kinda figured flyers would pull atleast one win out of their ass. hey whatever, now the bruins get to win it at home and finally watch a game on NESN instead of fuckin VS! fine with me

  35. backbruin says:

PLAYED WELL, SAME OLD STORY IF YOU DON’T GET THE PUCK IN DEEP IT TURNS AROUND FAST…CHARA WIFFED AND IT CAME BACK THE OTHER WAY QUICK!!!

GOOD JOB BOYS!!!!CAN’T WIN THEM ALL…

  36. Bruins says:

Chara was fucking AWFUL today. Fittingly the last goal was his fault. Another argument for whether Bergeron should be the captain (who I thought should’ve gotten the C that year).

Oh well though, decent game outside of that. Bergeron, Recchi and Rask (outside of that first goal) were great as usual. Bring Marchand up though, all Whitfield did was fall down. Stuart clearly wasn’t ready either. Hopefully he’ll be good to go on Monday. Outside of Stuart and Chara the d-core had a great game.

    • Pearson says:

I disagree man. Chara did bring his A game but rather his B. Which is still good. Stuart did well in my opinion given that hes still hurting… Also, there was no other option. I think tuuk played awesome, making gReat saves, and missing on goals that could have been scored on anyone.

Bottom linr is the flyers played very well. Now back to tittletown where we’ll win a trip to the semi’s

      GO B’S

    • da wreck says:

Chara has an off game, which for most d-men is at minimum – an average game, and you think its an argument to give the C to someone else? He’s last season’s top d-man in the league, and plays solid at least, every night. The only time he gets criticism is when he’s not completely dominating.

Big Z is a great competitor and deserves to have the C.

(I love Bergie too, but Z is the Anchor.)

  37. Vince says:

I don’t mind losing tonight. Sweeping the Flyers gives the Bruins too long to wait for the next round. It’s not like they are going to get players back. They get to win the series on home ice and they are hungrier now that they lost. The Bruins don’t want to let the Flyers back into the series so a loss in game 5 will not happen. Winning in game 5 will give the Bruins enough of a rest to come out strong in game 1 of the next series.

  38. Pearson says:

Also…. How can you not appreciate gagne scoring that goal? Ill admit ive always liked philly as a city and that was true heart coming through for his team. Everyone knows the bruins will take this series but it was sorta awesome to see him do that for the hone crowd…

Now we get to see _______ score the winner in boston to clinch it? Who ya got? I say wheeler. Kid is trying and is hopefully learning alot from rex.

I cant say ive ever had so much confidence after a loss. GO FUCKING B’S

  39. jimmy50 says:

Why isnt Chara growing the playoff beard?

    • Gcole says:

yea i saw that and was like why the hell did he shave, he had a sick beard going! …maybe his wife was bitching? lol

  40. bbears24 says:

laughing hysterically last night, boucher said to reporters that all the pressure is on tuukka and boston now……hmmmm. Tuukka was pretty funny when he was told what boucher said, Tuukka just looked at the reporter like he had 3 heads and said “boucher said that?? I guess u say those things to feel better about yourself” lolol
