Caron sent to Providence

As expected, the Bruins have sent Jordan Caron to Providence. With the return of Marc Savard, Caron has been a healthy scratch the previous two games. Caron needs to play everyday, therefore demoting him to Providence allows him to get the ice time he needs. With Caron demoted it leaves Daniel Paille as the lone scratch.

  1. Bruins says:

It’s the right decision. You can’t just not play him.

  2. moast says:

I agree….this must mean that Sturms close or even a trade? Who is the 13th forward….Paille?

  3. jimmy50 says:

Had to be done. He wasn’t ready. Does this mean his cap number is cleared?

    • Bruins says:

You didn’t think he was ready? He became a top PK forward on a top PK team and was very reliable out there. It’s just a case of too many bodies.

      • jimmy50 says:

Top PK team yes, Caron the reason no. Guys up high were mostly bergeron, wheeler, marchand, campbell, krejci, and recchi. Even if so thats one phase of the game. One that a more experience Paille can handle.

      • Bruins says:

He was second to only Bergeron in SH TOI per game…

He was being relied on to be a defensive presence up front and he certainly did that.

Like I said, I have no complaints about him being sent down with Savvy back, but it’s not because he wasn’t ready. He deserves to be up on the Bruins far more than Paille, but I’m ok with Paille sitting, and Caron needs to play somewhere.

      • #4 says:

He kind of reminds me of a Jordan Stall type. Thats a much more positive comparison than anything you can say about paille.

I guess Paille’s only justification in being here is that we dont want Caron wasting away in the press box. So its good he gets to play in Provy(who by the way need a player like Caron right now).

Now if we can just get Ryder and Paille out of here and get Caron back in the lineup and sit McGratts in the press box

        A) We will be a better team
        B) We save about 4mil.

  4. willisss says:

    This is dumb. Fact

  5. moast says:

Keep Caron…move Paille and ryder/Sturm (when healthy) Caron is solid on the third line.

  6. moast says:

Sturm is taking contact in practice today and is supposed to be close to a return. With the Caron move, Im thinking shits going to go down soon…..damn speculation.
    Any ideas?

  7. mook says:

It is obvious that something is happening, it has to…

  8. Neely8 says:

We better fucken win tonight! All these dooch bag teams have eather passed us or are just on are heels in the standings!

  9. BACKBRUIN says:

We have 3-4 games in hand on most teams….no need to panic!…….eather………..hmmmmmm? no comment!dooch???bahahahahahaahah

We are fine kids, Buffalo gives us fits but i’ll say 4-2 final!

  10. spencer70390 says:

although we didnt play crisp hockey last game, we at least played physically and the game had emotion. Juliens comments lead me to believe that the physicality and passion that make the “big bad bruins” who they are isnt high on coachs priority list

  11. Gcole says:

Lucic sure is scoring em this year. 13 already! Anyone think he could hit 30? Seems inevitable he’ll be in the 20s. But if things heat up with him and krejci/savard I think he’s got a chance

  12. Gcole says:

Wheeler looks like shit tonight unfortunately

  13. Loooch says:

B’s down to 5 D. Stuie done for the game

  14. Gcole says:

HOW MANY OPEN NETS CAN THEY MISS?? ahhhhhhhhbb

  15. backbruin says:

out worked, out played, their just flying by us in the neutral zone and we aren’t moving are feet….plain and simple!!

  16. backbruin says:

    our*

  17. Gcole says:

If tuukka was playing tonight the score would be in the double digits for buffalo

  18. Gcole says:

Now would b the time to not suck ass on the powerplay after just tying the game up

  19. backbruin says:

what do you know, hard work from the campbell line and we get one….oh look now we decide to show up….you think these guys would get this formula!!!

    get it done boys!

  20. #4 says:

Thats how to finish a game. Once again though week not showing up till the final 5mins of the game.

The bruins called 2 of their own goals tonight what was that ref doing??

  21. ELWOPPO says:

We could move from 8th to 5th in the conference if Tampa loses 2nite! And thier losing 2-0 as we speak, with games in hand! Next game on thurs againts NYI………………Lets make a move in the standings boyz!!!!!!

  22. Bruins says:

Savard looks good already. Except he really has to shoot more, same old story.

I swear Horton would be leading the league in goals right now if half of his shots that hit the post went in.

  23. mook says:

    Stuart has been traded…

  24. ELWOPPO says:

Stuart has upper body injury, will be evaluated today! As per Nesn. Chara expects call up from Prov.

  25. spencer70390 says:

players dont leave mid-game because of a trade. hes injured

  26. moast says:

Kampfer called up in Stuarts absence…..would be nice to see a surprise as this d group definatley needs it!

  27. ELWOPPO says:

Stuart out indefinitly with broken hand! Fucken figures! Always extream with this team eh?! Couldn’t have been bruised, of course not! BROKEN BABY!

  28. Ward says:

yay at least it was stuart

  29. moast says:

This is definatly a blessing in disguise.
Stuart is a good tough dman…but we already have Chara, Boychuk, and McQuaid for that.
Kampfer coming up will be a good thing and if not, its still a blessing in disguise as Chiarelli will be forced to make something happen and get a top Dman as this team cannot continue to be a top defensive team in this league with this group of d-men constantly relying on the goaltending.
the last thing the Bruins need is to rely on the goaltending (32+shots a game) and then expect it to last……playoff fatigue is something us fans have seen too much of.

  30. Vince_M says:

With Stuart out now, does he go on the Long Term Injury? If so, will the money from his contract be enough for Sturm to play with the Bruins for a bit?

    Just a thought?

  31. willisss says:

do you guys always need a player to shit on? axelsson is gone, wideman is gone, hunwick is gone, and now stuart is next? not having it. this is not a blessing by any means. whats going to happen when everyones playing well? im sure you will find someone to bash

    • ELWOPPO says:

Relax Willis and have one of those famous drinks u keep talking about! People are gonna have thier own opinions on certain players! Thats just how it goes kid?!

      • moast says:

I agree…..its nice to see what the rooks can do…..could be a great thing or a bust….doesn’t mean we shouldn’t talk about it.

    • Bruins says:

I love Stuart but he’s been really bad this year. You think he’s played well?

      • Gcole says:

Well I guess well see just how the bruins do without Stuart.. Fine considering everyone on here is shitting all over him. I think he’s fine, not everyones a number one defenseman you know, he’s solid and destroys people with hits and not afraid to fight people, don’t talk so much shit on him!

      • willisss says:

i have been overall impressed with what he has done this season

    • TheBellEnd says:

fuckin right, Williss..I mean, I come here all the time and all anybody ever does is pick a few players and shit down their fucking throats…

I pride myself in being a fan of a team who has intelligent fans..but son of a bitch, what do you need to be happy???…we got people on here saying that Kampfer’s gonna replace Ferrence when Stuart comes back….WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?????….

15-8-3….I believe it could be much worse

  32. mook says:

at least dave scatchard is not our #3 centre.

  33. neely8 says:

Boston Red Sox sign Carl Crawford! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Maybe Chiarelli should take a page out of Theo’s books!

    • BosBrn77 says:

He did when he signed Savard and Chara! Made a trade for Horton. Got great picks to get Seguin.

As for taking a page out of Theo’s book, it would definitely be a lot easier without the cap!

    • pearson says:

its much easier when theres no salary cap………..

  34. backbruin says:

well said 77, chia has done a great job building this team into a contender!! And as far as Stuart i don’t think he’s been too bad or too good, instead not hearing his name much is not always a bad thing is it??

what’s his +- before the injury?

    • BosBrn77 says:

      Stuart was a plus 3!

I know many of us say this, but Stuart was that quiet type. You never really heard his name come up when a bad game was played. No news has always been good news.

As much as I’m upset with his injury, the silver lining is that a youngster can come up and try to make the club. Or at least be seen.

  35. BosBrn77 says:

Bruins just made two trades. One with the Lightning and one with the Panthers. Both involved minor league players.

    Bos- Juraj Simek
    Tampa Bay- Levi Nelson

    Bos- Sean Zimmerman
Florida- Jeff LoVecchio and Jordan Knackstedt.

What is with trading with the Florida teams? And I have to admit, my son is going to be crushed! We got to meet Levi Nelson two years ago at the development camp and Levi signed a puck for my son. From that moment on, Levi was his favorite player. What a great memory!

Anyway, sounds like depth moves. But rumor has it Chia is looking for some defensive help. Still trying to move Sturm and he may still go to LA. But rumor is the defense man may come from Dallas or Phoenix!

  36. Gcole says:

Is it me or does wheeler only seem yonder to score while shorthanded? Don’t see anywhere near the same effort any other time than on the PK
