Rask starts, Campbell returns

Tuukka Rask is in net tonight against the Toronto Maple Leafs.  Rask will start his second straight game, despite being pulled after just one period in his last start.  Greg Campbell also will be back in the lineup after missing the previous two games with the flu.  With Campbell back in the lineup and expected to skate on the left wing, Seguin will remain as the fourth line center.

Not the win i was looking for but ill take it. RASK looked very good fuck the leafs go bsssssssssssssssssssssss

  2. MattG says:

    Canada wins!! Bruins win!!! WOOOOO!!

  3. ELWOPPO says:

Kinda sloppy and boring game, but 2 points are 2 points! Btw Krejci and Thornton made me sick 2day with those misses!

  4. #4 says:

lol Dipietro is hurt. The islanders have no Goalies haha….

That pick will only be top5 max! NJD/NYI are tanking it hard to get Couterier and RNH.. Doesnt matter all I want is for the B’s to draft Larsson.

    • Richardo says:

It’s just sounds so funny, “NYI tanking it!” They tank it every year and suck every season after that… Even when they draft highly ranked players… Fire a descent coach who is dealt a shitty hand to start with??? Sign a goalie to a million years… Oh and they are still paying for the GREAT YASHIN!! Definition of a failure franchise… Tavares better hope he can get the bleep outa there!!

      • willisss says:

        Let’s get him

      • #4 says:

We could trade Ryder and Hamil for him!

      • pearson says:

running your franchise is a wee bit tougher when you get half the crowd boston and the rangers do; on a good night

i currently work for their affiliate in bridgeport. there seems to be lots of talent waiting to come up… watch for kevin poulin, rhett rhakshani, david ullstrom, and jesse joensu. sorry to name drop like that though

    • Bruins says:

A pro sports team tanking only makes sense when you look at the big picture. The GM, coaches and players would never “tank” because their jobs are on the line if they do.

That being said, God the Islanders suck. Lets hope they continue their random winning streak. If we get one of Larsson, Couturier, RNH, Landeskog, or Murphy I’m beyond happy though, although Larsson is the big prize.

      • #4 says:

I thinkn Landeskog/Couterier/RNH all have a good chance to go ahead of Larsson who i head was dominating the WJC. That means the leafs only need to be in the lottery for the B’s to get the piece they need.

      • Bruins says:

I can’t see Larsson going outside of the top 2 to be honest. People are worried because his offensive game has dropped off a bit from last year, but his defensive game has gone through the roof.

I’d be thrilled with a top 5 pick, but I view Larsson as teh unquestioned #1.

  5. mook says:

To all the Americans on this blog, i apologize on behalf of all Canadians who went to the WJC game last night. Some of the things that were happening crossed the line and were embarassing. Don’t judge us all by the hicks.

  6. ELWOPPO says:

Fleury to start in net in allstar game! WTF? His numbers are nooooooooooooooooo where near Timmy’s! Stupid voting!

  7. Birdman2403 says:

Who cares about the all-star game. I hope no Bruins make it. That way they can rest for games that really matter, rather then playing in the “Popularity Bowl.”

  8. mook says:

    SURPRISE SURPRISE

    Trent Whitfield on waivers.

    • moast says:

Awesome….HAHA! Wonder if this is a prelude to a trade? I’ve been hearing alot from Edmonton these days….mainly from the EK machine but who knows.

Rumours are Bergeron…..not too happy about it but could make sence concidering the log jam of centers and the 5 mil that Bergeron takes.

      Ideas?:
      Bergeron, Colbourne, BOS 1st
      for
      Eberle, Edm 1st

      *Lucic Savard Horton
      Eberle Krejci Wheeler
      Marchand Seguin Caron
      McDermid Campbell Thornton
      *Chara Kampfer
      Seidenberg Boychuk
      TOR 1st EDM 1st

Let these guys walk/trade: Recchi, Ryder, Ference, Stuart, McQuaid(PROV)

      Rip it apart boys!!

      • #4 says:

Umm ehhh.. I dont know where to Begin…

I seriously doubt they would give away their first for anything as we all know they are finishing 2nd to last. Last if the Devils catchfire.

Im open to trading away one of Sav-Berg-Krejc it has to be done Seguins future in the NHL is as a Center not a winger. Eberle would be a nice grab but he has only 9 goals.

  9. mook says:

if Edmonton trades Eberle then buy some binoculars to watch the pigs flying by…

    • moast says:

Just a thought there guys. Once center needs to go, if not this year, in the off season. Maybe my trade idea but swap there 1st with the Tor 1st….pretty lateral but a great pick wither way.

    • pearson says:

yea that would be equivilant to us trading seguin away. theres just no justification for it. id go after penner. hes a big winger that needs a fresh start. i dont think it should take much to get him either, but edm needs a veteran center to occompany hall. id be cool with giving savard and something else for him.

  10. Manitoba Fan says:

I my opion Savard goes before Krejci or Bergeron. Bergeron is our most complete centermen, actually most complete player on our team, HANDS DOWN. Marks my words, we as bruin fans would regret trading bergeron away. IMO, i would rather see savard go.

  11. Bruins says:

What are the plans for next year? Obviously resign Marchand (I’ll put him in at about $1-1.5 million?) and let Wheeler, Ryder, and Stuart walk. Recchi will retire too. And I’d try to get rid of Ference and Paille.

Caron will clearly be ready to step in. I’d also expect Sauve to make the jump too. I’d like to think one of Alexandrov/Bartkowski will be ready too. That leaves the team with:

    Lucic-Savard-Horton
    Caron-Bergeron-Seguin
    Sauve-Krejci-X
    Marchand-Campbell-Thornton

    Chara-Kampfer
    Seidenberg-Boychuk
    Alexandrov/Bartkowski-McQuaid

    Thomas
    Rask

That leaves the team with about $9 million in space. So either we invest in a top line winger (Semin) and/or another defenceman (Pitkanen). Maybe bring Wheeler back if it’s for like $2 million or something.

  12. Bruins says:

Bruins’ choke and Canada’s WJC collapse is too much to take in this short of a period.

    • ELWOPPO says:

Gotta give Russia credit, 5 straght goals on Canada is not easy! Good game on both ends! Now back to the B’sssss! Who’s in net 2nite?

      • #4 says:

IM hoping its Tuuka time. Give this one to Tuuka because if you Put TT in and he puts up a stinker(not likely but possible) Then your forced to throw rask in to the Frying pan in MTL on Sat.

Id put Thomas in in MTL no matter what, so I guess that means rask tonight.

  13. ELWOPPO says:

Lets hope history doesnt repeat itself! We have never beat the wild in our building. The fuckers are 5-0!

  14. MattG says:

Kampfer is becoming my new favorite Bruins.

  15. mook says:

    are you kidding me tuukka?

  16. gibbz says:

    recchi needs to retire

  17. bill says:

get rid of julien. x canadien and fuckin ugly

  18. gibbz says:

    this is horseshitttttttttttttttttt

  19. willisss says:

Dude……I have had enough of savard….I’ve been thinking it too long, and noow I need to say it

  20. Haus says:

I tip my cap to Minnesota. They played their game plan perfectly.

  21. moast says:

Fuck me this team is sooooooo fucking boring!!! So defensive, yet they arent that great defensively. Who cares if there first in a brutal division. No idea whos fault this is for extremely boring to watch hockey!
Managment: has no fucking balls o make shit happen.
Top Line: Horton falls down like a pussy, savys head is mush and gives the puck away, Lucic in’t physical and cant score anymore.
Love Recchi but he needs to retire.
Five good players on the team: Kampfer, Marchand, Rask, Bergeron and Thomas. Fire tat fatfuck Jlien and his predictable, boring fucking style.
Sorry about the rant but I want to bash my fucking skull watchig this team!!! God Dammm!!!!!!

  22. lucic crew says:

poor rask makes amazing saves and these bums dont reward him

  23. Bruins1 says:

I don’t just get some of you here who bash my comments about trading Chara and Savard. Did you watch the game tonight? Where are our so called leaders? Chara sucks big time. can’t skate, his shot is horrible, and he is no way a top defensemen. Same cna go with Savard. I want change on thsi team, and those are the first 2 players to go. This team isn’t fun to watch. I would rather be fun n exciting and lose, rather than slow, boring and still lose. U jackasses can mock me all you want, but this buffalo guy knows hockey and says time for changes!!! Lets go young and exciting, there is no way we are cup contenders. Lets listen to offers for young guys who can skate n play.

  24. God is on OUR side!!!!!! says:

you guys are all saying semin would be perfect with krejci and lucic. and you all said horton would be god with lucic and krejci and look at that line they are doing fuck all

  25. Bruins1 says:

    Trade Chara, Savard, ference, Recchi,

Bring in guys like: backus, possible Jordan Stall, Hemsky, Jack Johnson, and Im sorry to say it, but I do miss Kessel.

  26. tomfergus says:

We’ve got 4 centers playing like third line centers. Bergeron can have the Selke, but get off the Power Play.
Good road trip, but offense is struggling starting with the center position. At least it didnt get to a shootout exposing our biggest weakness, pure scoring, not garbage, “greasy” goals. What the hell is greasy!

  27. G-Rant says:

Please. Relax. Everyone. Bruins can’t take a pt from EVERY game. Massive game in mtl saturday, let’s focus on that!

  28. Bruins1 says:

STOP saying relax, its half way through and these guys are still not playing up to their potential! I’m tired of this, and we need change. I don’t want Chara or savard on this team. These Bruins are not a hard team to play against. No one is scared of them, and their not elite. I would even go and say no one is untouchable here. But I want Chara and savard gone first! Julien must go as well

  29. zamer says:

Like Iv said many times we are fucken brutal in our own zone getting the puck out.Our defence is just average, now if we had some of minny D we would be a better team those guys wre good in there zone.We need some grinders and size fuck we were beat of the puck most of the time,we are lucky to have good goalies because they have won us a lot of games.

  30. Haus says:

Drama queens out in full force tonight. By reading these posts you would think the Bruins play in a league with Ipswich JV, The Oblate Fathers Infirmary, and Perkins School for the Blind.

  31. Bruins1 says:

Haus, do you watch the same games as we do? the Bruins are not playing well. We win because of our goaltenders. Thsi team is not a cup contender, and you need to accept it before things will get better. You live in fantays world and don’t want to believe the truth!

    • Haus says:

I watch the same games, I just take a realistic view of them. Bottom line is that it was an evenly played game that went the other way. I will give you that they should be better at home, but I will not concede that they aren’t a cup contender with the right deadline deal. If you are management and want to send a message that you don’t care about winning, you do what you say and trade away Chara when the team is 21-12-6. As for Savard, who knows? Maybe at the deadline if Seguin comes along more you can move him and create cap space for a gritty winger like Upshall, Langenbrunner, etc and a Dman to play point on the power play.

    • Bruins says:

Is the goalie not part of the team? A win is a win. You’re discrediting the team because they have the best goaltending in the league? That makes sense.

    • Haus says:

Trade away the core of the team and get uncertain returns after the team picks up their first non-shootout loss in 7 games. Are you sure you’re not Garth Snow? Who in the NHL has had a better road trip this season than the one the Bruins just had?

  32. Gcole says:

I’m going to be in Montreal this weekend and they play the bruins! Should be interesting being in enemy territory. I didn’t dare wear any bruins stuff, don’t feel like getting mobbed. Just want to get fucked up and have fun!
