Kampfer, Paille scratched

Steve Kampfer and Daniel Paille will be the healthy scratches for tonight’s game against the Flames. Tyler Seguin is expected to skate as a winger on the fourth line. Tim Thomas will get the start in net. Newly acquired forward Rich Peverley will also be in the lineup and will be wearing #49.

Forget how to spell his name but joe junos number, hey ill take it if peverely plays like juno back when he was with the bs. GOOOOOOOO BSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!

  2. Manitoba Fan says:

Anybody know of a live stream online. Fuckinn center ice is blacked out

  3. Manitoba Fan says:

    thanks.

  4. ELWOPPO says:

I Guess Horton and Ryder dont wanna score no more?

  5. Haus says:

Missed half the game. Man, I hate Tuesday games, interfere with my games. But from what I saw of Seguin it seems he’s turning a corner. And it couldn’t happen at a better time of the year. Kid is earning ice time.

  6. lucic crew says:

Horton and torontos first i had enough of this guy. All in all good two points, lucic, marchand and thomas are beasts to bad about the shut out. Oh yeah kabs looked pretty good defensively. GOOOOOOOO BSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!

  7. lucic crew says:

Wow the praising on here is to much you guys need to relax. Just because they won take it easy now.

  8. moast says:

    Decent game……I agree LC Horton, TO’s 1st, ? for an 30+ goal scorer…..didn’t like Ference’s play either.
I’m going to the Canucks game on Saturday and hoping for not only a win in Van but a drubbing to truley show how much they fucked up on Looch….Neely Pt.2.
Also going to the Vancouver Giants Keowna Rockets game where it is Lucic night as the Giants are honoring him and giving away bobble heads.
Hope to get my jersey signed a few times.

But tonight its hats off to Lucic, Bergeron & Marchand
and a fuck off to the ghost of Horton. New guys looking good….not sure about Kelly yet.

If they manage to beat Van and then hopefully walk away with EDM and OTT wins, thatll be a 6 game winning streak going into an Eatern showdown with Tampa…..true test this close to the playoffs!
    Go’ Go’ Black n’ Gold!!!

    • pearson says:

so hats off to the people that scored?

cmon dude. the whole team played like a group we havent seen before. it seemed that every pass connected, and when the puck was dumped into the ofensive zone, there was a bruins player grinding for the puck back.

kelly played great. i didnt notice peverely too much, but its one game.

bottom line is they just beat a team that was 11-1-2 in their last streak of games. at their house. great win.

      • Haus says:

Now that I saw the replay of the entire game, I gotta agree with you Pearson. Kelly was everything we like about Campbell, with a little bit more natural talent but the same smarts. Peverley adds speed where the B’s really need it.

  9. willisss says:

    K.A.R.S kars for kiiiiiiiids

  10. jmed says:

I think all of this competition for a line up spot is what Seguin needed. Hes been looking great since he sat up in the press box.

    • pearson says:

i think the 4th line is perfect for him. he adds an offensive threat but also plays with 2 guys that know you have to work your ass off to get a goal. hopefully thats whats rubbing off on him.

      • moast says:

Still want to see Kelly on the 4th and Seguin with Ryder and Peverley…..I think it could bode well.
The fourth would be better served with another campbell in my opinion.
Seguin is playing worthy of a 3rd line stint.

      • Bostonnnnn says:

Agreed. When you look at the roster, Seguin belongs on the fourth line.

  11. willisss says:

    Hnidy?

  12. moast says:

Sheriff Shane Hnidy is on a try out with the B’s in Vancouver…..WTF?
I like the guy and all but this must mean that ther may be a trade on the way? Only need 7 dmen?

    Chara Kaberle
    Seidenberg Kampfer
    Ference Boychuk
    McQuaid Hnidy

I can only hope that it is a Paille, Ference on the way out!

    • #4 says:

Hed be more like #8-9 on the depth Chart. Seems like PC is horrified of what happened last year(re: depth). Doesnt want to have it happen again.

Its funny I posted taht vid of Hnidy slapping Niskanen around the other day..

“OH AND HNIDY REARRANGES NISKANENS FACE HE WONT BE A PRETTY LITTLE BOY ANYMORE!!!” Great line jack great line.

    • jmed says:

Unfortunately xmas wont come early, Ference isnt going anywhere.

  13. ELWOPPO says:

Buffalos captain and Zherdev placed on waivers! Rivet and Zherdev would be solid pick ups, No? Obviously not us, but for another team!

    • #4 says:

Def niether meets any of bs needs if course. I think zherdev would do well out west.

My buddy sent me a text about svatos he used lite me up with svatos in NHL2006 lol. I was like not a good pickup bro haha

  14. bbears24 says:

yooo totally off topic, but was wondering if anyone knows of some rinks that have like past 10 pm public skating?? Preferably in the North Shore area?

  15. Gcole says:

People that comment on nesn bash the fuck out of ference holy shit! I mean he’s no number one but the guy is solid. He sticks up for teammates, and has a sweet /- people need to realize you don’t have teams with all number one centers, top scorers and number one defensemen!! Christ… Well hey I guess now that Ryder is doing good people need a new scapegoat to talk shit on!

  16. #4 says:

Nesn commentors suck. They are always trading Rask Chara and Seguin. Especially this time of year baseball and football fans hear Felger mention the Bs for like 2 seconds then go online and comment away.

Even though they barely even pay attention to hockey for like 2 weeks a year.

    • willisss says:

Anyone who says trade rask or seguin let’s their credibility as a reporter, or even a bruin fan out the window…I don’t get the trades that people come up with, and I just look at them as being a fool or a pink hat. There isn’t a bruin on this tea, that I feel should be traded, as good as ferrence is, or as good as ryder has been playing, if there was a package to get richards than I wouldn’t say no..but its unrealistic

  17. spencer70390 says:

hey guys, I read bruinsrumors daily and currently am spending a semester abroad in london and am lucky enough to be interning with ESPNamerica. I am writing a blog for them, and to get some practice in, i have started a NHL blog at insidetherink.wordpress.com . check it out and let me know what you think. thanks and GO B’S

  18. #4 says:

    Habs vs Leafs

Who to root for?????? Its like the hardest question for a bruins fan to face this time of year.

Im going to say I want the Habs to win. I have no fear of them catching the B’s in the standings or of losing to them in a playoff series.

However the Leafs need to lose as many games as possible b4 the end of the year. I want a top4 pick baby… I swear if we get Larsson next year, Imagine Chara-Kaberle
    Larsson-Siedenberg
    Mcquaid-?????

For the next few years. That defense Is deeeeeeep.

  19. moast says:

Butler’s pair now give him five in his last five games.

Where the fuck did this guy come from and how did he get past the B’s training camp….if he can do this with fucking OTT what would he do with the B’s?

  20. mook says:

    pens got kovalev

  21. cebbie says:

Hnidy back – I like this idea – I hated to see him leave a few years back – True team player – add him in the playoff mix – Man for man I dont think there is a team in the league who can take on the bruins – fighing anyways –

  22. jimmy50 says:

anyone else sick of reading the post that say “trade our best players, bags of pucks, patrice sucks, etc…?

Chiarelli said Hnidy is a month away from being able to play after rehab of the shoulder. If a D-Man from that point until playoffs he is next in line. Smart move by PC again.

    • CCMGoalie says:

I was being sarcastic in mine, unfortunately there isn’t a way to relay that 100%. Personally I think people who keep saying we need to make big moves are fools. Our team is pretty stacked and deep right now. Chiarelli has done GREAT this year, despite my thinking that he overpaid for Kaberle, but to bring him to Boston and for what he’s done to bolster our PP (At least we are getting shots now) I think he’s been worth it so far.

If we bring Hnidy back we will be looking at Kampfer going back down to Providence because he is the most easily moved player on the roster. I think Hnidy will add toughness and a little bit of defensive solidarity, but I honestly don’t think we need him right now. I loved what The Sheriff brought to the team two years ago, but what he will bring to the team now we already have with Mcquaid in a younger and not coming off a major injury version. I honestly don’t think he should come back this season unless he’s willing to sign a 2-way deal and we send him to Providence so he can get his skates back under him and play some pro hockey to see where he’s at technique wise. I honestly would rather have Kampfer in our lineup than up in the pressbox or in Providence because having two puck moving defensemen in the lineup can make our blue-line very dangerous even in even strength situations.

      • cebbie says:

Cant disagree with you – but how nice would it be to have back up guys available come playoff time – We all saw what happened last year losing one guy to injury. Too bad – all the stars where aligned last year to go all the way but not getting past Phily – say no more

      • CCMGoalie says:

Very true Cebbie, which is why I’d like to see him sign, if he were going to sign with us, a 2-way deal. It’d give us the flexibility of keeping some key players in our success on the roster and it’d allow him to get some playing time at a fairly high level and get ready for next year.

      • UEDkop says:

PC maybe overpaid for Kaberle, but not as much as Burke overpaid for Kessel.

      • jimmy50 says:

Difference is we could afford the trade because we have another 1st and 2nd rd picks.

      • CCMGoalie says:

UEDKop and Jimmy 50, both very valid points. I feel like the whole Kaberle trade was Burke saying, “Okay, you got me. Now how about some Royalties?”

  23. lucic crew says:

    montreal gets dawes and sopel.

    • moast says:

That should give a touch of grit but they will still get knocked around like the little shit faced fuck tard smurf that they are…..Fuck em!!

Going to the Lucic night game in Vancouver tommorow (I guess half of the team is going too) then the Nuck Bruins game on Saturday!! Time for some Bruins represent and Guinness after Guinness!!!

  24. black n gold says:

LMFAO u guys are all on the ryder train again HELLO he makes 4mill a year 2 score what 20 goals what a joke !!! I would perfer wheeler over him half the price and he can score 20 goals a year

    • lucic crew says:

I was never off it, i like ryder.

      • moast says:

I like Ryder too when he is playing physical, he is one strong mofo
Hopefully he will take 2.5 if thy want to keep him

      • CCMGoalie says:

I’m with you on this one Lucic Crew, but I do have to point out that Ryder’s best seasons are usually contract years. Look at his stats for more proof. Moast, I hope you’re right and I hope he does take a cut and stays with us because the guy can play.

Side note: I LOVED the Peverley-Kelly-Ryder line. Kelly won most of his faceoffs and Peverley added some serious speed AND grit to that line. Ryder just needs to keep putting the puck on net and that line will definitely contribute down the line.

    • moast says:

      Horton 4mil 15 Goals
      Ryder 4mil 16 Goals

      8mil for 31 goals…ouch…just sayin

    • Bruins says:

Ryder is unbelievably inconsistent. He’s either noticably one of our best players or invisible. And it’s not like he goes on streaks, it’s just completely random when he plays well.

      • black n gold says:

So 12 million 4 3yrs was a good signing ? cmon this guy is like kovalev gets paid 2 much and only shows up when he wants too!! Has lots of skill just doesn’t want to use it every night and you guys want a guy like that on our team ?

      • Bruins says:

How did you get that out of what I said? He was worth it the first year, but not the last 2 (and especially not last year).

      • black n gold says:

Hello dude not you others in here saying ryder is so good and that we shouldn’t get rid of this over paid bum !!!

  25. Studlycodfish says:

Just saying, dosent’t Lucic have 26!!! Go Bruins

  26. Bruins1 says:

we really do need a young stud defensman in our system. I hope Toronto starts dropping and we get a top5 pick. Gotta have Dougie Hamilton.

  27. mook says:

depending on his conditioning, i’d rather see hnidy over boychuck. i’m not feeling confident with him on the ice anymore…

  28. marchamam says:

    other 21?

  29. ELWOPPO says:

Any chances of the Bruins taking first in the east, Or do those dam flyers have it locked up? Fuckers dont lose anymore!

    • #4 says:

      No way they catch flyers.

TB is only 2pts infront of the B’s by now means is that out of the question.

Anyone else notice the leafs are freaking close to making the 8th seed. Nobody responded to my post earlier but they won last night. Rut’Roh……

  30. Bruins1 says:

Hey Goalie Mike Smith is on waiver from Tampa. I really like his game, he has had injury problems recently, but a very good young goalie. He was the key to the Richards trade a few years back. Love to grab him and maybe (Hate to say it) trade one of our goalies to go for it all!! Thomas would bring us a very good return, and I strongly think Rask is the man on thsi team. Just needs to play! What do you think? Smith is a good goalie

    • Bruins says:

Trade the best goalie in the league and bring in the worst goalie in the league. I like it.

    • CCMGoalie says:

Bruins1, Why on Earth would you trade the leading man for the Vezina at the deadline for a guy who doesn’t even have a .900 Save Percentage? Rask WILL be good and he is the FUTURE. But for the moment it’s Thomas’ show. Tuukka will be a star goalie he just needs to get his confidence, and I do agree somewhat that he needs to play, but his efforts haven’t been as consistent as they should be to be in the NHL. He needs to get back to basics and rebuild his game and quit relying on just being quick on his feet and with his reactions. Until then, Thomas is the man between the pipes for Boston and he will be until Claude/Chiarelli think he’s losing his game or he retires. Get used to it and don’t give up on Thomas because he hasn’t played absolutely amazing the last two games. He still put up good numbers in the losses he’s taken. Don’t be so quick to pull the trigger man or you’re gonna shoot us all in the foot.

    • Haus says:

This is why I think you are trolling Bruins1. It is not often a good young goalie is placed on waivers. That’s why he’s on waivers, he aint good. Tampa went out and traded for a 39yr old (Roloson) so they could dump this kid. No thanks.

  31. #4 says:

    Sturm on Waivers… Lol..

Way to dodge that 3.5 mil bullet Chia.

Are we really still trading thomas? Haha some things never changer.

Ill join in I guess, Man wheeler sucks! Wideman cant even skate.

  32. Bruins says:

99.982712% chance to make the playoffs.

If we finish the season .500 we’re still guarunteed to make the playoffs.

If we finish 6-16 we’re still likely to make the playoffs.

If we finish 3-17-2 we still have a shot at the playoffs.

If we finish 10-12 we’re still likely to take 1st place in our division.

    Noice.

  33. Vince_M says:

Anyone heard if PC is still looking to add anyone? Or looking at moving another body or even moving TO’s#1 for someone? I am thinking put the #1 in play and see who we can get.

    • ELWOPPO says:

Its a good idea Vincenzo, but I dont think Chia will part with that pick! Remember thiers still 20 games to go. And as much as all of u guys are scared the Leafs could move up, They could also move down! Chia is a patient man and will wait it out!

    • Haus says:

They have enough cap space to add about 1.3mil cap hit. But you don’t want to swallow all that up in case of injuries (not major ones, just the day-to-day, one week stuff that necessitates a call-up). I’d look for a cheap, pro-rated addition (Hnidy). As for any others, I just don’t see where they would fit.

  34. gibbz says:

does anyone know where i could get text message alerts of the trades happening in the nhl, im southern new england and have verizon, so tsn wont work. thanks

  35. BosBrn77 says:

Anyone notice Wideman was a healthy scratch tonight? Could he be on the block? Something close?

  36. neely8 says:

Marchand takes puck off foot, had to b helped off the ice at practice today!!!!!!!! Not good guys, Not good!!

  37. Haus says:

Why the fuck does anyone care? 80% of you guys quit on this team after the Toronto game. I remember you fucks.

  38. black n gold says:

Hello all bruins fans hope we win tonight this well be a good measuring stick ! Also like to see the new guys get a point tonight . lets go bruins

  39. Vince_M says:

Alright, alright. I have a guilty pleasure. I go once in awhile to Eklunds site for a chuckle. Once in awhile there is an interesting story.

According to Eklund – Sturm has been claimed off waivers by the Capitals

also – the Leafs are interested in Wideman

  40. averynathan says:

    bruins rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  41. Bruins1 says:

this game will show where we stand. if we lose, Chia will tweak this team. I just wish we tarded for Bogosian from Atlanta. Give him TOR 1st and rask

    • Vince_M says:

And who do we put in net when Thomas is tired?? A shooter tutor?

    • #4 says:

Just stop, you sound like a fucking moron when you say “trade seguin” or “trade rask”. For what always amounts to be nothing more than E-Harmony crushes you have on players.

    • CCMGoalie says:

Wasn’t it yesterday that you were saying Rask was the man and Thomas should go? Bruins1 your spelling mistake on the word “traded” pretty much sums up how anyone on here feels about you right now. You wish we had “tarded” you off to the Canadiens where after every game they trade everyone who had an off night and crown the ones who play well. Do everyone a favor and shut the hell up with your trade suggestions because none of them make sense.

  42. lucic crew says:

So haus what your saying no venting allowed. Venting and giving up are totally different things. And you mean to tell me you were happy with that lost knowing we have their first. Of course you are cause you are always right. You never tell off the team, you always say good things about them even when they play like shit. Ladies and gentleman the guru of hockey, take a bow haus you know everything. And backbruin very subtle well played let me know homie let me know always down for a battle.

    • Haus says:

Go back and read what was said….
      I rest my case.

      • CCMGoalie says:

Girls, you’re both pretty and should’ve won prom queen now relax and chill the hell out.

      • Haus says:

Let me give you some examples…
“this team is going nowhere fast”
        “we should be the sellers”
“we are not a stanley cup contender at all”
“we will go to the playoffs, but we wont go far”
“philly will walk all over this team”
“we will be lucky to make the playoffs”
“They are not a real cup contender and never were”
I could go on and on but I think I made my point. Noone is happy when they lose but to throw the baby out with the bath water is a little much. I’m all for venting and I do it at times also, but there is a line between venting and being ridiculous. Watch, if the Bruins lose tonight, those same people will come on here and say the same shit, then when they win one they are looking at riding the duckboats. I’ve said all year they can be cup contenders, and I don’t back down from that and change my mind every week.
By the way, thanks for saying all those nice things about me. ‘The guru of hockey’? You’re too generous.

      • lucic crew says:

Ouch i missed that and fucked up on my first post, no sleep will do that my apologies haus.

      • Haus says:

You mean I have to return the tiara? Out of my cold, dead hands!
Just pointing out the obvious, and the shit that you spoke of regarding Habs fans.

      • CCMGoalie says:

Meant nothing personal behind it guys, just found it entertaining that we were getting crazy with eachother over a misunderstanding.

And that Tiara Haus, coming back to its rightful owner next year. I didn’t get the mani/pedi treatment every day for a year for nothing bitch…

  43. zamer says:

One player the bruins should look at is wayne simmonds from LA he plays hard hes big and tough and playing with the right players he will score goals he would be great with Kelly, peverly, scary line.

  44. lucic crew says:

    I think they’re cup contenders.

  45. lucic crew says:

Cant just take the apologie and be humble. So what fuck the habs and their fans what is your point.

  46. lucic crew says:

lol haus every time i look at the post im like fuck. im going to bed im really tired long night.

  47. UEDkop says:

Rob Schremp on waivers. Worth a depth pickup?

  48. ELWOPPO says:

    McCabe to Rangers

  49. Bruins says:

Some food for thought: Only the Oilers are worse in the shootout than the Bruins in the NHL. No shootouts in the playoffs. We’re better than our record shows.

    • Bruins says:

Actually, if you take out all overtime and shootout games (because overtime is 4-on-4 and not 5-on-5 like in the playoffs), we’re only behind PHI and VAN. Taking out only shootouts, we’re only behind PHI, VAN, and DET.

  50. Bruins says:

Really need to stay out of the box tonight. VAN’s PP is lethal.
