The Marchand Bergeron Seguin line looked like they could have some magic. Kinda small but faster and skilled. The Chicago Detroit game was an amazing playoffesque game today.
Mike Camalleri stated on TSN lastnight that the Canadiens were 4-2 against the Bruins this year and had a winning record last year as well. He further stated that translates a birth into the second round of the playoffs this year. Pretty arrogant statement to make to say the least. I hope this statement makes its way into the Bruins dressing room real soon. This litle midget needs to eat his words and learn a lesson. If this isnt motivation for the Bruins in the first round I dont know what is!!!

I am a die hard Bruins fan and will always be no matter what but in my opinion its completely unacceptable to loose this series. I don’t care if it takes seven games, I just beleieve we have a much better team than the Canadians. In my opinion we are just to deep, but only time will tell. Keys to this series for me are our special teams and our fourth line. If soupy, paille and thornton can keep up this tempo and keep putting points on the board, I believe its lights out for the Habs.

It looks like Beaulieu & Hamilton would be solid D, too, but don’t seem to have the offensive upside. Plus, it doesn’t appear that Hamilton will be there at no. 9.
We need a young, franchise D. If Chiarelli picks another fucking forward, I’m personally flying to Boston and will slit his throat!

I see the draft like this:
A clear top 3 group: Larsson, Nugent, Hopkins, Landeskog, and then a little bit of a drop off to Couturier at 4th.
Then there’s a very close group of 4: Hamilton, Strome, Huberdeau, Murphy.
And then unfortunately there’s a big drop off. Some guys are better than others but it becomes more difficult to really tell. Luckily there are a few defensemen worth taking at 9: Beaulieu, Siemens and Oleksiak. Beaulieu is more offensive, Siemens is more defensive and Oleksiak is a 6’7 240 monster that is pretty mobile for his size. I’d also consider taking power forward winger Brandon Saad there as well.
All that being said, I’m sure one of the top 8 will drop to 9. It only takes one team to like one guy more. I really want Hamilton but I’d be really happy with Murphy too.
I am hoping that Larsson can be this years Fowler and fall off by alot.
I think either of the Swedes Larsson/Landeskog will be the most immediate NHL Players out of this whole group.
Aside from that someone with a name like Strome is just bound to be good, thats a hockey name.

Believe it or not but I had heard something about the team being called “Manitoba ____” no final name but a logo with a bear in it. I had heard from a few about the Manitoba thing but the bear part is new to me. Can’t have a bear, unless it is the Grizzlies as my son’s AAA spring team is the Manitoba Grizzlies. They can use our logo and I would even sell the naming rights (for the right price).

A lot more than I can say for the top line of trying to be pretty with there delicate passes that were picked off 9 times out of 10. They really needed this one to put the seed of doubt in there heads, now Price is more than confident.
He had gift-wrapped chances to score and he shit the bed. Not ready for prime-time. Better show up to score on Saturday or get back to the 4th line where he belongs. Ryder buries that sitter.
So he has chances and can’t score. Why pin point him and not Lucic, Krejci, Horton, Peverley, Chara? Why him?
Marchand had a team leading 6 shots and hes the scape goat fuck that. He showed up and hes a rookie.

Man. Chara was weaksauce to open the game, but Kaberle gave away the goal. I chock that one up to playoff jitters.
Price stood on his head and Marchand missed 2 golden opportunities add in a few bad penalties/non penalties and…………

Anyway Haus I don’t want to get in a pissing match with you about the game. We saw it differently. Im just fucking pissed right now. I know its just one of seven but the first is really important in my eyes. I just hope that some people who are supposed to be “elite” players on this team show up to the next game. If they don’t and have to roll into Montreal down two……good night.I agree with you on Ryder though….he was pretty damn strong on the puck. If Peverley scored on his net drive, or one of Charas many bombs would have gone through or if Marchand scored on the breakaway it would have been different.

Hits were even Haus I will admit that to you. My bad, seemed like they had a lot less. But Marchand had the teams lead in shots, not something to bitch about.
Did I mention that Kaberle sucks balls and that i don’t think that Chia should throw away that 2nd rounder and go after someone who will shoot.
I think that says it right there, moast. Did you see the PATHETIC turnovers that we had tonight? And the blocked shots. I watched the NYR/WSH game last night. Does NYR have more talent than WSH? Of course not. Do they do everything in their power to block shots, get dirty, and give it all they have every second. Absolutely!
We could simply dominate MTL, but most guys tonight just played passive and didn’t have the “no one is going to come into our barn and beat us” attitude. Maybe it’s the system, maybe it’s the leadership (Chara was awful), but I think it comes down to HEART, GRIT, & DETERMINATION for most of the players out there tonight.
Of course we had our chances, but did you see how MTL just skated w/ speed and moved the puck? How many times did we have dumb turnovers or guys like Mcquaid just rim the puck without looking? That just comes down to being SCARED. Not playing with a purpose. And that is not how you win a Cup!
Plus, although Price did play well tonight, I thought he had a really quick CHEST!! Jesus! You can’t just shoot at the fucking CH!!
Anyway, I’m not here to say the ship has sunk, because it is only 1 game, but we all KNOW that MTL is going to come out guns blazing at home. Too bad we couldn’t do the same tonight.

Here’s how I’ll break this down:
Bergeron: Pretty solid play up front and back in our zone, keep up the hustle and you will find the net.
Campbell: Great speed and battling in the corners, pull the trigger sooner and the puck’s in the net.
Horton: PULL THE FUCKING TRIGGER! Don’t give Price the second to setup! Just put the fucking thing on net! Fairly solid game otherwise, LOVING the snarl this guy plays with.
Kelly: Loving your 2 way play. Need more Offense in that though.
Krejci: Where was your head tonight? A couple good plays doesn’t mean you can chill the rest of the night. Get your passing and Neo-esque calmness going again, it is missed.
Looch: Be more physical. I know you already are physical, but take it to another level and hit EVERYTHING that moves.
Marchand: Need to cash in on those opportunities. I attribute it to Playoff jitters, but solid play the rest of the night.
Paille: Keep hustling buddy, it’ll come.
Peverley: Keep winning those battles and using that speed, your line is going to do big things in the playoffs if you can keep up the pressure.
Recchi: You’re 43 years old, but are playing like a spry 37 year old. Hitting bodies and battling in front. Love it.
Ryder: You’re playing the team that left you for dead. STEP IT UP!
Thornton: Loving you throwing your body around big guy, keep pulling the trigger with that HEAVY shot and Price will keep bobble it glove-side.
Chara: Shoot, Shoot, Shoot, Shoot, Shoot. Keep busting ankles and legs with that monster shot. Keep up the SOLID defense too.
Boychuk: Don’t pinch too deep, but I love your willingness to jump into the play.
Ference: Boy you make me nervous sometimes, but you’re playing solidly Defensively, can’t complain too much.
Kaberle: Better decisions and shoot more. Your game tonight was pretty weak.
Mcquaid: Keep throwing the body around, but you need to come away with the puck too. You can’t just hit the guy.
Seidenberg: Solid defensive night for you, underrated as always, but you block shots and knocked one out tonight that should’ve been a goal in the 2nd after Timmy got beat on a spin move by Plekanec. Nice work.
Timmy: STAY IN YOUR FUCKING NET! You handle the puck like a 15 year old virgin handles a dick. Either too rough or too soft, NEVER the appropriate pressure or timing.
Tuukka: Slow opening that door eh? Tough break being behind a Vezina winner, again, but stay warm and ready because if it looks like Timmy can’t handle the load Claude will give you the nod.
Claude: POWERPLAY, POWERPLAY, POWERPLAY! Your powerplay system SUCKS. I think you do a great job behind the bench in almost every area, except for this one. I don’t know what else to say here.
Sorry for the rant. Tonight was frustrating. But a thought did occur to me after the game. Maybe this is for the best. Our recent history with 3-0 leads isn’t great so winning 4-1 wouldn’t bother me a bit. Would’ve liked to have taken that one tonight though.

Everybody relax! Its one friggin game? The B’s lost game 1 last year and came back to win the series! Montreal shut us down, they played the trap! Sat the Bruins will solve it, watch! My question is when IF EVER do the Bruins practice passing? The passing last night was pathetic.
Someone tell boychuck you dont have to flip the puck off the boards every damn time and put a freaking pass tape to tape. Same with chara and mcquaid. Only Kaberle who was terrible was capable of making a nice crisp break out.
Unless they get that fixed its going to be alongg series.

The way I see the game is they had an off night and played pretty rough. The only thing that saved the Habs was Price. Pound the hell out of them and they will fold like some bad laundry. Get that shot off quicker and the goals will come.

they lost game one, but were on the road, we loose game 1 and come Tuesday we have 2 games in Montreal where we will win no more than one of them. guess we can hope for a 2-2 tie for game 5 in Boston and take it in 7.
