Patrice Bergeron had a light skate prior to the Bruins regular team practice this morning. Bergeron has had no set backs and continues to progress after suffering a concussion against the Flyers. If all goes well Bergeron may be available for game 5.
Adam McQuaid will be in the lineup tonight after suffering a neck injury against the Flyers. McQuaid hurt his neck when he went all out to hit cheap-shot artist Mike Richards. McQuaid will skate with Tomas Kaberle.
Steven Kampfer has begun light skating and is progressing in working his way back from a knee injury. Kampfer has not been cleared to play but is expected to be ready sometime this series. Kampfer will most likely serve as the seventh defenseman over Shane Hnidy.
The Bruins completed their second round sweep of the Philadelphia Flyers and will now face the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Three Stars of the series
Tim Thomas : Thomas was elite all series long. Goaltending played a major factor in the outcome of the series and clearly the Flyers came no where close to matching Thomas in net.
David Krejci : After a disappointing series against the Montreal Canadiens, the first line center finally woke up against the Flyers. The crafty center finishes the series with 4 goals and 4 assists.
Zdeno Chara : When Chara missed game two in the first round, it was a clear indication that the Bruins are simply not the same team without him. Chara continued to regain his form as the series progressed and was at the top of his game against the Flyers.
According to TSN, Chris Pronger will not play in game 2 tonight. Pronger had previously been sidelined with a broken hand, but this injury is thought to be either a leg or back injury.
